Bolabet Zimbabwe (Private) Limited – Terms and Conditions for Bolabet X Promotion

 

1. Introduction

 

The Bolabet X Promotion is here! This social media-based promotion gives participants a chance to win exciting prizes by engaging with Bolabet on Twitter (X). Stand a chance to win a Samsung smartphone, a power bank, or a Bolabet soccer ball and jersey by following our Twitter page and spreading the word.

 

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the Bolabet X Promotion (“the promotion”) organized by Bolabet Zimbabwe (Private) Limited (“Bolabet”). By participating in the promotion, you agree to comply with these Terms as well as Twitter (X)’s Terms of Service and Rules.

 

2. How to Participate

 

To enter the Bolabet X Promotion, participants must complete all of the following steps during the Promotion Period:

  • 1. Follow the official Bolabet Zimbabwe Twitter (X) page (@BolabetZimbabwe).
  • 2. Share the designated Bolabet X Promotion post (e.g. by retweeting or reposting it on X).
  • 3. Tag and invite friends in comments or replies to the promotional post, encouraging them to follow the Bolabet Zimbabwe page. (Only unique friend handles will count towards this invite/tag count.)
  • Each participant is allowed one Twitter account for entry – multiple or fake accounts are not permitted and will lead to disqualification.
  • All three actions above are required for a valid entry.
  • The promotion does not require any purchase or betting activity; entry is free (standard data/internet costs may apply for using Twitter).
  • Bolabet will monitor engagement on the promotional post, and participants who share the post most frequently and invite/tag the most friends will rank highest in the promotion.
  • The winners will be those with the highest overall engagement, as determined by Bolabet (combining the number of valid post shares and unique friends tagged).

3. Eligibility

 

This promotion is open only to individuals who meet all of the following conditions:

  • Participants must be 18 years or older at the time of entry. Proof of age (national ID, passport, or driver’s license) may be required from winners.
  • Participants must be legal residents of Zimbabwe. (Prizes will only be delivered within Zimbabwe.)
  • Participants must have a valid Twitter (X) account and meet all participation requirements in Section 2. The Twitter account used to enter must belong to the individual participant.
  • Participants must act in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws.
  • Any use of automated means, excessive spamming of tags/shares, or other fraudulent behaviour is prohibited.

Bolabet reserves the right to verify the eligibility (age, identity, and residency) of any participant or winner at any stage. Entrants agree to provide Bolabet with any proof of eligibility requested. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. (Note: Additional eligibility exclusions for Bolabet employees and related persons are set out in Section 8 below.)

 

4. Promotion Period

  • The promotion runs from 12:00 PM CAT on 6 September 2025 until 11:59 PM CAT on 30 November 2025.
  • All times and dates are in Central Africa Time (CAT). Any engagement or actions (follows, shares, tags) completed outside of this period will not be counted.
  • Bolabet’s server time and social media activity logs will be the official time-keeping method for this promotion.

5. Prizes, Draws and Winner Selection

 

There will be three (3) draws conducted during the promotion, with one prize awarded at each draw:

  • Draw 1: 03 October 2025 – Bolabet Soccer Ball & Jersey
  • Draw 2: 31 October 2025 – Power Bank
  • Draw 3: 28 November 2025 – Samsung Smartphone

Winner Selection Criteria:

  • Participant engagement will be tracked cumulatively from the start of the promotion until the final draw date.
  • Each draw functions as a checkpoint, awarding the prize to the participant who has achieved the highest verified level of engagement at that point in time.
  • Engagement is measured by:
    • a) the number of times the promotional post is shared/retweeted,
    • and the number of unique friends tagged or invited to follow the official Bolabet Zimbabwe Twitter (X) page.
  • A participant may win more than one prize if their cumulative engagement remains the highest across multiple checkpoints. However, another participant who overtakes them in later stages of the promotion will be eligible to claim the prize allocated to that draw.

Prize Conditions:

  • Each prize will be awarded once during the promotion and is limited to the items listed above. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for alternative items or for cash.
  • Bolabet reserves the right to substitute any prize with an item of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for any reason.
  • Any taxes, duties, or levies arising from acceptance of a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Finality of Selection:

  • In the event of a tie in engagement metrics, Bolabet may apply a fair tiebreaker method, such as a random draw between tied participants or an alternate engagement metric.
  • Bolabet’s determination of winners and the calculation of engagement will be final and binding.

Winner Notification and Prize Claim:

  • Winners will be notified by Bolabet via direct message (DM) on Twitter (X) through the official Bolabet Zimbabwe account shortly after each draw date.
  • Bolabet will attempt to contact the winner within 48 hours of the draw. Winners are not required to be physically present at any draw event or Bolabet location to win or claim their prize.
  • After notification, the winner will coordinate with Bolabet on how to receive their prize – this may involve picking up the prize at a designated Bolabet outlet or arranging delivery, as appropriate.
  • The winner must respond to Bolabet’s notification and provide any requested information (such as full name, ID verification, and delivery details) within 7 days of the initial contact. If a winner does not respond within 7 days, cannot be contacted (due to incorrect contact details or other reasons), or is found to be ineligible or in violation of these Terms, Bolabet reserves the right to disqualify that winner. In such a case, the prize may be forfeited and Bolabet may, at its discretion, award the prize to an alternate winner (for example, the next-highest engaging participant from that draw’s period) or conduct a redraw for that prize.
  • By accepting a prize, the winner agrees that Bolabet may use the winner’s name, Twitter handle, profile picture, and/or likeness for announcing the results and for reasonable promotional and publicity purposes. Such publicity may include announcements on Bolabet’s social media pages, website, or other media. The winner shall not be entitled to any further compensation for such promotional use, and Bolabet will endeavour to comply with any privacy or publicity rights as required by law.
  • Bolabet will not ask for any sensitive personal information via social media. Winners will be guided on secure communication to arrange prize delivery.
  • Bolabet’s liability for any prize that is lost or damaged in transit (if delivery is arranged) is limited as per Section 8.
  • Winners should allow a reasonable period for prize delivery or collection arrangements after responding with their details.

6. General Terms and Conditions

 

6.1 Bolabet, as the organizer, reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify, extend, or terminate the promotion at any time, in whole or in part, without prior notice. Bolabet may exercise this right for any reason, including (but not limited to) if it becomes necessary to do so due to technical problems, fraud, regulatory requirements, or any other causes beyond Bolabet’s control. In the event of an early termination or modification of the promotion, Bolabet will make an effort to inform participants via official channels. Any prizes not yet awarded at the time of suspension or termination shall be deemed forfeited, and no participant shall have any claim against Bolabet as a result of the modification or cancellation of the promotion.

 

6.2 In cases of suspected fraud, manipulation, cheating, or abuse of the promotion’s rules, or any technical issue that compromises the integrity of the promotion, Bolabet reserves the right to take appropriate action. This includes, but is not limited to, disqualifying any participant involved (or suspected to be involved) in such activities, and/or withholding or withdrawing any prize that such participant would have otherwise won. Any attempt to undermine the fair and proper conduct of this promotion – for example, using multiple accounts, automated scripts, vote farming, or repetitive spamming of tags/shares beyond reasonable participation – is a violation of these Terms. Such behavior will result in disqualification from the promotion and potential forfeiture of any prize won. Bolabet’s decision in detecting and addressing fraud or abuse is final.

 

6.3 Bolabet reserves the right to monitor all participation in this promotion. This includes reviewing social media activities related to the promotion (follows, shares, tags) to ensure compliance with these Terms. Participants found to be in violation of the rules or acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner may be barred from the promotion at Bolabet’s discretion. Bolabet also reserves the right to disable or ignore specific entries or engagement actions that are deemed to be illegitimate or in violation of Twitter’s platform rules (for example, deleting spam comments or discounting bot-driven shares).

 

6.4 Bolabet is not responsible or liable for any technical problems or failures which may affect participation in the promotion. This includes, without limitation, problems with internet connectivity, Twitter platform outages or API limitations, server or system crashes, network bandwidth issues, or any software or hardware malfunctions. Participants acknowledge that these issues can occur and are beyond Bolabet’s control. Bolabet shall not be liable for any loss, whether direct or indirect, arising from such technical difficulties. If a technical error results in an obvious mistake in the promotion (such as an incorrect calculation of engagement), Bolabet reserves the right to reasonably correct the error and fairly resolve the outcome in line with the intended rules of the promotion.

 

6.5 It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that their participation in this promotion is legal under the laws of Zimbabwe (and any other laws that might apply to them). By entering, participants warrant that they are not breaching any laws or regulations by participating. Bolabet reserves the right to void any entry or disqualify any participant if it has reason to believe that participating or attempting to claim a prize would violate any law or regulatory requirement. No prize will be awarded to any participant who is barred by law from receiving it or where the promotion is prohibited or restricted.

6.6 By participating in the promotion, each participant consents to Bolabet’s collection, processing, and use of the personal information required for the administration of the promotion. This may include the participant’s name, Twitter handle, contact information, and any other details provided by the participant or through Twitter. Bolabet will use this information solely for the purposes of running the promotion, verifying eligibility, contacting winners, delivering prizes, and related publicity (as described in Section 5). Participants further agree that Bolabet may announce winners’ names or social media handles publicly. Personal data will be handled in accordance with Bolabet’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. Participants acknowledge that Bolabet may store and use their details for promotion administration and fulfillment, and may use standard technologies (such as cookies or tracking mechanisms on its website, if applicable) to monitor participation patterns, detect fraudulent entries, and ensure integrity of the promotion. Participants have the right to request access to, or correction of, their personal data as provided by law, by contacting Bolabet Customer Support. By entering this promotion, participants also agree to receive communications from Bolabet related to the promotion. Marketing communications from Bolabet or its partners may be sent where applicable, with the option to opt out of such marketing at any time.

 

6.7 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Twitter (X). It is also not sponsored or endorsed by Facebook or Instagram. Twitter’s name and trademarks are the property of Twitter, Inc., and are only used here for descriptive purposes. All participants completely release Twitter (and any other social media platform on which this promotion is advertised) from any liability or responsibility in connection with the promotion. Participants understand that they are providing their information to Bolabet and not to Twitter or any other platform. Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the promotion should be directed to Bolabet, not to Twitter.

 

6.8 This promotion is not open to directors, officers, employees, agents, or consultants of Bolabet or any associated service providers, including their spouses, life partners, business partners, or immediate family members.

 

6.9 By entering and/or accepting a prize, participants and winners agree that they do so at their own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, each entrant and winner agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bolabet (including its parent, subsidiaries and affiliates) and all of its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, costs or expenses arising from or in connection with: (i) the participant’s involvement in the promotion, (ii) the participant’s breach of these Terms, (iii) the acceptance, receipt, possession, or use/misuse of any prize, or (iv) any other matter relating to the promotion. Bolabet shall not be liable for any consequential or incidental damages. Participation in this promotion constitutes the participant’s agreement that Bolabet and its representatives are not responsible or liable for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from participation or from acceptance or use of a prize. This indemnification obligation will survive the conclusion of the promotion.

 

6.10 In the event of any dispute or disagreement regarding any aspect of the promotion (including but not limited to eligibility determinations, engagement calculations, winner selection, or prize distribution), the matter will be referred to Bolabet’s management for resolution. Bolabet’s decision shall be final and binding on all participants. If you have a concern or dispute, you may contact Bolabet Customer Support to raise the issue. Bolabet will handle disputes in good faith. Any correspondence regarding disputes should be directed to support@bolabet.co.zw with the subject line “Bolabet X Promotion Dispute,” or via Bolabet’s customer support phone lines listed below. Bolabet strives to settle all disputes amicably and fairly.

6.12 Every participant in the Bolabet X Promotion is deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions by virtue of their participation. Submission of engagement (follows, shares, tags) in the promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree to any of these Terms, you should refrain from participating. Bolabet reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these Terms or who refuses to comply with reasonable requests from Bolabet in connection with their entry or prize.

 

6.13 These Terms and the promotion are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. By participating, you submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zimbabwe for the resolution of any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with the promotion.

 

6.14 Bolabet Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd is a licensed betting operator and advocates responsible gambling. No persons under the age of 18 are permitted to gamble or participate in betting activities. The Bolabet X Promotion does not require any wagering. Should you choose to engage in any Bolabet services, please play responsibly. Winners know when to stop.
